Boo Schneider

for Methow Valley School Board

Why I’m Running

Being on the School Board has surpassed my expectations in so many ways!

So... I begin my campaign to continue.

Since being appointed in January 2025 to the Methow Valley School District Board of Directors, I've recognized how my experience, depth of understanding, and conversations have proven to be a terrific asset.

My 34 years as a public school teacher, numerous years involved in negotiations with school administration, two terms as Education Association president, and parenting children who attended public schools K-12 have given me a broad perspective.

I am representing you, the larger community, as well as the families and students of the Methow Valley. My agenda is clear: What is best for every student, every day? From the kindergarten classroom to the graduation platform, teachers and support staff, administrators and facilities, various learning styles and curriculum.

I was warned when I was sworn in to "be prepared to drink from a firehose"!

Here's just a sample of what I've been up to:

  • interviewing candidates and hiring a new superintendent
  • dealing with frightening incidents involving the safety of our students and staff
  • appraising facilities and budgets in this uncertain funding status
  • visiting and getting to know our staff and schools
  • delighting in all the graduation accomplishments

There is always much more and I am committed, ready to continue to serve.
